Fabrizio is one of the most successful touring car drivers of all time, with seven major touring car titles to his name including the Italian, Spanish, European and most recently British Touring Car Championships.
In 2005 he was just four points behind Andy Priaulx going into the final World Touring Car Championship round, but a suspension failure robbed him of the chance to become the inaugural WTCC champion.
2006 was Fabrizio's first year racing in Britain, he made history by scoring Vauxhall’s 100th British Touring Car Championship victory, with a stunning drive at Knockhill.
2007 saw Fabrizio claim his first BTCC crown, winning a third of the seasons thirty races. The championship went down to the wire following a tense season long battle with SEAT's Jason Plato. The seasons final race at Thruxton saw Fabrizio clinch second place to take the title by just three points.
In 2008 Fabrizio secured an amazing eighth major touring car crown and his
second successive BTCC championship, ensuring his place in the record books
whilst cementing his reputation as one of the world's greatest ever saloon car
drivers.
