The Sub Assembly department is responsible for the building of the critical parts and components ready to fit onto the race cars.

Engines are dressed and mated to transmissions, hubs and suspension uprights are assembled to tolerance, and gearbox ratio sets are built up and installed. The complete assemblies are then delivered to the Race Bay for installation onto the race cars themselves.

After every race or test these complete assemblies are delivered back to the Sub Assembly Department to be stripped down, cleaned, crack tested, inspected and rebuilt ready for installation onto the race cars again.
