MG Racing RCIB Insurance eyeing success at Croft
MG Racing RCIB Insurance duo Ashley Sutton and Josh Cook have their sights firmly set on podiums as the Dunlop MSA British Touring Championship heads north for rounds 13, 14 and 15 at the Croft circuit this weekend (18/19 June).

Since the BTCC’s maiden visit to Croft in 1997, the team has enjoyed great success at the Yorkshire track by amassing six pole positions, nine victories and a further 14 podiums.  Having returned to Britain’s premier race series in 2012, MG have also made two visits to the rostrum at the 2.1 mile circuit with a best finish of first in the MG6 GT’s maiden season in 2012.

Heading into the fifth event of the season both Ash and Josh remain firmly focussed on ensuring they remain within the title picture before the series heads into its annual summer break.

Qualifying will be streamed live on the ITV website from 4.00pm this Saturday whilst live coverage of Sunday’s event will be shown live on ITV4 from 10.55am

Quotes from the MG Racing RCIB Insurance drivers pre-Croft:

Ash Sutton: “Croft has always been a good circuit for me, I have always had success there ever since I have been on the TOCA package.  This year will be more of a challenge with it favouring the RWD cars but I can’t wait to get out on track and give it my best shot.”

Josh Cook:  “The half way point! Croft is a great circuit which usually attracts huge crowds, which is understandable as it's fantastic for spectating. It's notoriously a RWD suited circuit, so we will have to to really pull something out the bag to be competing at the sharp end this weekend. Fingers crossed for some rain!”
